Any videogamer, even good ones, sometime get into a part of the game which they cant beat at the first try. More better, you cant beat it on second or third try. In fact, it takes MILLIONS OF FREAKIN TIMES TO SOLVE IT!!

So, when did you had trouble like that?

I remember that I once got into a situation like this. On 2000, I played Secret of Mana on Snes, adn it had that terrible ending boss; the spike tiger. It took day's to defeat that sunofvabitc. When I finally defeated it (THANK YOU MR AXE!) I danced around and screamed like a little girl.

Well, as we're at Secret of Mana already, the place where I did give up most of the times (though I managed to survive it at the very first time of playing) was the Lost Continent with the mystical forest and the great Mana Tree. The monsters there were simply too hard for my, otherwise best available to buy, equipment, and my party went belly up many times, and that at the very entrance to it yet. After that I never played the game again.

You want examples? Play Crescent Hawks Revenge. There's a ton of them.

I've encountered tons of them. The hardes one was probable in Cannon Fodder.

I think the level's name was "Bang Bang, you're dead". In it, you started out at far right from the center of the map. The mission was to kill all the enemies, and destroy all the buildings. The buildings also spawned more enemies. Now, the real problem was that the buildings were bunkers, meaning they could be destroyed only by a cannon at the center of the map, which was surrounded by water. And naturally, there were tons of bazooka guys guarding every freaking place where you had a chance to get there. Sometimes I managed to get to the cannon, but then some of the enemies managed to throw a grenade, destroying it...

I never passed that level. Any tips are welcomed, I still have the game on my computer <_<

When I finished Resident Evil games the first times I always was really happy.

I never managed to finish Mario Bros 3 on the NES.

:w00t: Oh, I know! I really jumped through the room when I finished Captain Planet on the NES! This atmoic guy was the last oppnent and a tough one!
But the disappointment was: When you were through you just got a password for a harder version of the same levels... <_< That was unsatisfying...

I got stuck lots of times in "Lands of Lore". I think I have restarted that game like four times before finishing it. First I got stuck in the Draracle caves, then in the Urbish mines, then in some white tower and the last one before the final boss, Scotia. Man, that last one was frustrating, at last facing her and being unable to beat her...

I remember that level Tervez. It was really hard. The only tip I can give you is trying to reach the cannon, firing quickly to the four bunkers and getting off of it as soon as possible.

Indiana Jones and the dammned fate of Atlantis.

I've replayed that game soooo many times, but every time I get to the broken statue in the innermost circle of Atlantis I can't get the door open. I know it involves a chain and various statue parts found throughout the various circles, but I can never get it to work.

I couldn't get it to work the first time around when the game was released, and the countless times I've replayed it since then I still can't get it. I even downloaded a new copy (before the days of the esa banhammer) because I was convinced it was a bug, but even then no luck. I even resorted to a walkthrough (something I hate doing) but I must be stupid because even then the door wouldn't open.

It is something that annoys me to this day.

Never had any problems with it. Do you want some saved games? Just before the door opens and just after it opens... maybe you can figure out what you were doing wrong.
