for anyone who still has problem running this with dosbox.

mount to any other drive letters other than A or B. for example:
Code:
mount c c:\balor
for some reason, if you mount to A or B, the graphics will be messed up.

that's it. no need to change configuration.

Hi, the game used to have proper sound effects when I played it a while ago (on Win95), like walking sounds, proper battle clashes, chopping wood, hurling... doesn't feel right without it. can anybody help?

I run it via dosbox now, runs fine, albeit bit slow. The music is like it used to be, but the sound effects are rubbish...

Is it the game version? Hope someone can help. Thx!

I'm having trouble once I have more than one province - how do I go back to my original province to manage it? I've tried pulling up the map button on the bottom left and left/right/anything-clicking on the other province (nothing happens), and I've tried just about every bit of the interface. Council and other subwindows don't help. Anyone able to tell me how it's supposed to happen?

In order to move between provinces you have to go to the Burg and use the move option. And to undo the "delegate" option you have to go to the Citadel(looks like a castle). Hope this helps.:thumbs:

Perhaps if you were a bit clearer about what you like in Balor, and don't like in the other KOEI titles?

loved this game. Ive beaten this game a few times. Its fun as hell. I never really understood importance of building up your 2 structures other than experience. Otherwise its a solid 5 out of 5 for its time. i love rpg in cattle raids and conquests.

Well, it should be possible to expand your tribe by peaceful manner, although it is much slower and harder then by war. This way of spreading means using high prestige, glory and respect that your heroes' names command to influence and eventually persuade provinces of other tribes to "come under your protection". On of factors in your tribe's prestige (or something) is level of citadels and villages in your provinces.

I tried few times to play defensive game, but I was impatient after a while. Still had to try it sometimes.
