I already forgot that there are also other games than abandoned ones. :-)

Might sound strange, on a Windows system I'd almost suffer a heart attack if there is no antivirus software while I use Linux without (even for serious stuff including online banking).
Never had any issues with malware and never heard of anybody who had.

Sadly, a lot of games on GOG aren't available on Linux natively. It'll probably be better (and cheaper) to just get the game used. </firstworldproblems>
