My favourite writer is still Terry Pratchett. He has a very strange way of involving the reader. Especially his latest books ('Night Watch", 'Monsterous Regiment' and 'Going Postal') are very different from his first books. His first books involved characters tumbling from one situation into the other while his latest books the characters are trying to achieve a goal while the situation around them gradually changes.
