The game works only if if i mount the cd in dosbox... but I have another problem, i can't save... is says "no space", if i install the game from setup to a folder it doesn't work at all... what can I do to get the game runing and to be able to save?

This worked to get the game running:
mount d c:\heroes -f cdrom -label heroes
d:
heroes

... but the virtual cd d: is created with 0 freespace
I tried the -size and -freespace command but it doesn't work on the virtual cd...
If i type mount c c:\ and install the game to drive c the game does't work at all giving me the error "can't find cfg" or it closes dosbox

There is no point playing the game if i can't save...

add a c:\ drive as well......
you only mounted a cdrom...
So it's obvious as that you can not save...... cdROM

I´m having some trouble with hmm because though it runs on dosbox the screen appears black and I can´t see anything; I dont know if that´s because of the video card, or something but i´d be very grateful if you could help me.

I have downloaded and installed DosBox and followed all the steps given on the website. I edited the DosBox config notepad file to a T with no error. Yet when I open up DosBox it still opens in Z:
If I type C: it goes on to say:

Drive C does not exist!
You must mount it first. Type intro for more information.

I do not understand why drive c is apparently still unmounted, as I have followed the previous said steps and saved the notepad and everything.
Was hoping someone could help me out here as I want to play this game again dearly.

try typing the same commands in dosbox - if that works, you must've mistyped something or put them in the wrong part of the file (they go at the bottom, in the autoexec bit)

Nah that doesn't work. I followed all steps 100% perfectly and it still shows up Z:

After I installed Heroes I have typed the following in DosBox:
C:\>cd heroes
C:\HEROES>heroes

And the window sits like that, flashes once, and stays like that forever.
Is there a particular video/sound card out of the given list that is most compatible with XP that may be the cause of the problem or what?

In the install screen make sure it is set to no sound and see if that works.

Ok I did that and still no success. I'm not certain which video card to use

How do i get the game to run?!? iw done everything what the guide said and when i write heroes.exe on dosbox it says illegal command: heroes.exe

I dont know what to do....... PLZ help me....... :help:
