There should only be two choices on this list - The Bram Stoker novel and the film version starring Max Shreck.

Everything else should be punched in the balls if they had any.

Schreck was in Nosferatu which was made before Lugosi's films and is iconic and awesome. But you're right, Lugosi was kick-ass too... We'll just ignore the poor guy's final role in Plan 9 From Outer Space
