To kill the skull bos (you mean level 7?), you should blast his arms off, then the flamer on the bottom, and then his head (do it before he crushes you).

I have a Question regarding the level when you're in the complex and you have to get into the acid. i believe it is either level 5 or 6. I would like a walkthrough on this level if at all possible. Please!

Nice one. Similar to Abuse. Action flow has good tempo which is pretty important for this kind of games. I'll devote more time to this game in the future.

Default Heavy levels

I played that game and reached the end. That was long ago.

The heaviest part were not the bosses, but in the middle of an level, I can't remember where.

I remember that I was on a kind of "waggon" in a some kind of a tunnel. There were some obstacles along the rails. Therefore, I had to jump to avoid that.

Besides that, I had to shoot some target (it looked like a gong), so the doors can open. If I don't do that, "waggon" goes further, but my "hero" fells into something and dies.

I solved that with the intelligent missile. All other weapons failed, but I needed a looooooot of attempts to pass that obstacle.

Does anyone remember that obstacle?

I'm at 14th level. Does anyone know how to defeat second boos in the game?
It looks lika a spider-skull. I manage to position myself between his legs and melt down his arm with flame (my health usualy goes from 80 to 20 in the process) but then spider-skull starts shooting fireballs from his head-cannon and I don't have a clue what to do about it.

EDIT:
For those who will encounter the same problem here is how I tackled it. After you melt down the arms, position yourself directly under the spider-skull's head and melt it. When the head turns into dozens bats escape to edge of the screen and bring those bastards down with ice. I was left with only 5 health when the boss collapsed so it was a close one.

Can anyone rephrase this sentence (from game review):
Quote:
"This game could have really held its own had the playing field been a bit more level."
, please?

I'm trying to fix Polish translation of this game and I'm 100% sure this sentence was not correctly translated. Still, even if I found meaning of "level playing field", I can't get all puzzles together to get a grasp on its general meaning :/

"This game could have really held its own [i.e. be good enough compared to others] if the playing field had been a bit more level."

It's allowable to ellipt the word "if" in the cases that subjunctive is used, with "should" or "had": "Please let me know, if you should experience any problem," can be rephrased as "Please let me know, should you experience any problem." It usually sounds more formal than including "if" as usual. Still, a comma should be used at least: "This game could have really held its own, had the playing field been a bit more level."

I know about "if" ommission. Just had problems with figuring out relation between "held its own" and the rest of sentence.

So...
Is the meaning similar to:
"This game could be good compared to others, if difficulty was more balanced."

I'm figuring out how to relate "level playing field" (equal chances) to a game.

How is Alien Rampage not more well-known? It’s excellent! The art style, the action, the violence, the puzzle solving, tons of unique enemies, gameplay that keeps changing up the routine, and on and on. If it only had some kickass music to go along with it, and maybe a more fine-tuned camera with a higher frame rate, this would be in my all-time best list of DOS platformers.
