A few interesting pieces of info on Skyroads:

1) Both Skyroads and Skyroads XMAS are now freeware and available for download from Bluemoon's official site - http://www.bluemoon.ee - along with the original "Skyroads", more commonly known as "Kosmonaut".

2) All versions of Skyroads come with music, but as was said, it doesn't work on XP, unless you use VDMS or DOSBOX, and even then it may be problematic (synchronization problems, slowdowns, etc).

3) All roads are possible and I have finished them all. I'm currently trying to find a site that would host my video walkthrough.

same guys made kazaa also.
Well... the game is made in Estonia. Estonians made Skype and helped Swedish make Kazaa. I have heard we, Estonians, invented the P2P system.

But cool game!

Wow, I remember this game... I miss the music (I know it's in there, but my DOSBox is messed up - I can't figure out how to make ANYTHING run in it without sound stuttering and severe graphical lag - so I have to run it the plain Win98 way). But thanks to the kind person who uploaded it here, regardless. Ahh, memories...

Road 3 of "The Earth" took several tries to figure out, but after that it was just a matter of rhythm (and maintaining a certain speed). A lot of the jumps in this game rely on a good sense of rhythm (particularly Road 2 of "Druidia"). Maybe that is why the jump-bounce sound is like a drum? Miss the beat and you'll probably miss the platform, too.

Good game. Challenging. I would almost call this a puzzle game, but then it wouldn't make sense. It's a puzzle in the sense that you have to figure out how to get past all the obstacles. But there are also many solutions to each road. Fun for replay value, not just for nostalgia but also to see how many times you can consistently finish a particular road (hence those handy counters next to each Road in the menu ).

Again, thanks! Abandonia brings back lots of welcome memories.

Well, the music works fine for me when running through DOSBox (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net). And I just gotta love the game

A note, it's also available from the creators' website www.bluemoon.ee ^^ And hehe, there were also Finns doing it, so this is one of the first good games coming (at least partly) from Finland ^^

Damn it, I fail it. Someone was first.
And I can also confirm, it's very possible to finish Druidia the 3rd. Also The Earth the 3rd is a possible one, though you have to bounce left 'n' right 'n' left 'n' right 'n'...
