I got to the end and blew Scotia away, but the finale never comes up, the game just goes into a black screen. Has anyone else had this happen?Hours of game play and all for naught?? Bit of help, please!

I'm really early in the game and I'm confused. After beating rolands manor my walkthrough says I should buy the bow from bucks skins. Howver, this leaves me with 104 gold and I need 100 per person to return on ferry.
I assume it will cost me 200 to come back to buy bow and another 200 to come back again later. Thats a lot of gold right now. Did I make a mistake by buying the longsoword for 125 G earlier? It seems to be a waste to sell the bow back for 100 G to return just to spend another 400 later to come back and return. At least(thank god) you can sell items back at the same amount it costs to buy. I'm sure this seems paltry long term, but gold is tight right now, and I really want that bow both to increase rogue skill and have ranged attack.

You'll need the 200 gold only once to travel back to Gladstone, since you won't return to this part of the game anymore. You can leave the bow be as well, it's not as good as other ranged weapons you'll find later in the game. There'll be also throwing stars soon in the draracle cave for you to level the rogue skill.

I can´t get past the guard that want´s the password from the Game Manual. I looked at the manual on Abandonia.com´, found the word and wrote it, but it didn´t work. If someone could tell me how to pass this guard I would be very grateful.

You're looking in the wrong manual. Try page 5 ( http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?s...=4574&st=60 ) for the words you're looking for.

I already looked at that.. But the guard wants other pages, lines and words. Not the numbers that are on this forum.

Hey, simply download the full-speech CD version of the game here and forget such worries.

I'm using DosBox 7. I can start the game but after the intro when I choose a character the game shuts down and I'm back in DosBox mode. Any help? Thanks.

Maybe a previous version of DosBox helps? Also, which version of the game do you use? The floppy one from this site or a full-talkie CD version?

To the above 'guest'. If you have speech enabled then the game will crash as the version here has no speech. Reinstall and untick speech and tick text, then you'll be okay.
