![]() Since we are starting with questions like '' what came first , the chicken or the egg'' I have a question on my own. I want to know how the hardened tip on shoelaces is called. Preferably in dutch, but in english is ok to

![]() In english they are called Aglets. not only do they prevent the ends from fraying but they make the lace easier to hold, and easier to pass through the eyelets, which I am assuming is the holes the shoe laces go through. All this thanks to Ians shoelace site (I can't believe anyone would watse their time making a whole website dedicated to shoelaces, he obviously has no life).
