Exactly!
A method I've always found easy is to start early linking cities with bus stations, even if these towns generate few passengers. It will keep those cities happy. Wait too long before linking a certain city and they'll get upset after the slightest action from your side that interferes with the environment.

heh, whenever a town stops me from building a vital station/network I get my revenge by changing their name to something like cr*p town.

There is a .reg file in the archive if you downloaded the game from here. If there is not, then download the game from here.

If you can't see the files extention (which I never understood why, it's one of the most basic things to see in Windows), there is an option in your folder options to enable you to see all extentions. By default, this stupid option is turned off.

If you don't have the admin rights on your computer, then talk to your sysop.

There is one file which it's icon is a patched icon (with band-aids). You should use that file to start the game.

Anyway, I still have a problem. I once read through the whole thread and found another poster with that problem, but reading though it again I couldn't find it anymore. :blink:

If playing the desert / jungle map, I can't buy electric trains. Steam and diesel trains work, later on the Monorail and the MagLev work as well, and I get messages about the new e-trains that can be brought. But they don't show up in the buy menu.

Can anyone help me? Thats quite frustrating, playing up until 2050 with some 50-60 year old trains.

Another question: Is there any chance to start the game at 1900 instead of 1950? Didn't find that in the options.
