The Lion exe is there alright.

Make sure the DOS prompt is telling you "lion" is the current directory.

If the directory is in the root directory C, it should look like this:

C:\LION>

Or, if the Lion directory is in a subdirectory named say, games, it'll look like

C:\GAMES\LION>

If the prompt is pointing at a different directory than the game directory, then DOS will not be able to find the Lion.exe.

If the prompt is pointing at the right directory AND you're being told that LION is an illegal command, please consider the possibility of a faulty download. Try downloading the game again.

oh ok I fixed it. You need the adjust the path in LIONS.CFG to your DOSBox-Path (in my case I had to change it to C:\)

Sorry for the double post but since I'm unregistered I can't edit my own posts :bleh:

Question Help D8

I downloaded Lion today using abandonia.com. I added it to a folder and tried opening it with dosbox. Here's what happens:

<Mount c L (L is the name of the folder it is in)

Directory is mounted with folder L
<C:

<C:\
<cd lion

<LION\
<lion

illigal command: lion
<lion.exe

illigal command: lion.exe

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

When your dosbox prompt is c:\lion> input dir /w
Take a look what you get, if you don't see a lion.exe you screwed up somewhere, most usual beginners screwup is creating a double lion folder when unzipping, eg: you have another 'lion' dir in your first lion dir.
If yes, copy everything from your second lion folder into your first one (do it in Windows). Try again then (dosbox restart needed here).

Also: don't use the build in Win unzipper, but something as http://www.7-zip.org/

Also²: some more details if things still goes wrong would be helpful.......

Default Sorry(Unregistered)

Alright (Sorry double post)
There is no Lion.exe
I tried redownloading it and unzipping it, while loading all the files into a new folder and the exact same thing happened. I'm none too certain about manually unzipping a folder.

I know my version of the game has a Lion.exe in it that I got from this site. I will redownload it and double check it is there in the archive, otherwise it might need to be setup or installed in some way first. BRB with info.

*Edit* Game redownloaded and there is a Lion.exe in the archive. If you don't have the view settings set to show the .exe it will be listed as Lion and as an application. Remember double check that you haven't unzipped the Lion folder into another folder called Lion, i.e you open up the folder you created while unzipping and inside it is another folder called Lion. If that is the case then as Dosraider said copy everything out of the second folder and move it into the first one.
