I also use IE all the time. I simply removed half of the default functions for security matters.

LOL I just have a 300 mile thick defensive line of anti -virus, -spyware and -lotsa stuff programs.
my pc still lives.

Yup, your HD's so full of anti-virus and anti-spyware tools that there's just no place for viruses or spyware anymore
