I have a winzip file of Lands of Lore CD Version which is much better than the original

also there is no need for the manual searching passwords

and as already featured Patrick Stewart (Star Trek TNG, X - Men) is King Richard and also does other game narations

if youd liek a copy id be happy to email them to you

Sending a CD image through e-mail... DUDE! :hysteric:

Just split it into 100-meg parts (for example with Total Commander) and upload to Rapidshare. Far more convenient for both you and everybody else.

How do you guys hex edit the items in Lands of Lore? I have the addresses but as far as I know, the hex codes for items are not constant and I keep getting "Illegal Item(s)".

The thing is that the inventory places change in every area you are in, so if you really want to cheat in this game you're better off with editing the inventory at the beginning of the game, as long as you didn't leave Gladstone Keep yet.

Rather the value of the item changes, the inventory place stays the same. Look here for the hexlist - DLH
"Die 48 Items im gemeinsamen Gep ck" (they forgot to translate it) means "The 48 items in shared inventory".

I know the addresses for the shared inventory is constant and I do have all the addresses.

What I meant is that the hex codes for each item changes as you move along, and trying to get new items just gives me "Illegal Item". So for example, how do you hex edit a Greatsword early in the game?

Is there any sort of logic for item hexcodes? You might try to work from there.
Otherwise, just keep trying.

Uh, don't know if this is any help, but a friend of mine once sent me a ZIP with a savegame with some nice items not to be found anywhere in the game. A guy with the nickname Reanimator made them. Maybe you'd like me to upload it at Rapidshare?

Is that savegame late in the game? If so, I don't think it will help in hex editing items early in the game.

Can anyone confirm the lower/upper limits of HP/MP gain for all characters during level up?

I did some testing with Michael, and these are the results

Michael
Starts with 20 HP and 6 MP

Fighter: 6-22 HP per level
one much earlier post says 12-25, but I've gotten from 6-11, however can't confirm 23-25

Rogue: 2-12 HP per level

Mage: 1-6 HP, 12-25 MP per level
