Does anyone know why when you reach about 13-14 machines, people just stop working and go to the breakroom, never to return to work again?

Also, some tips from me...

1. When you have a small building, try to pair up the machines back to back, should save some room.

2. Two machines per maintenance guy works out just fine, three might work as well.

3. A good way to not haire so many people is to tick the auto paperwork option. That means you never have to deal with sales or anything ever again!

Why is there a pallet limit? I have such a huge manufacturing amalgum that there isn't enough storage space for my required materials. Is there maybe a way to memory edit around this with Artmoney or something?

I have a question... my work days seem to go very very slowly, and I was wondering how you could speed up the days. It usually takes 30 seconds or so to go through an hour and I was wondering how to speed it up so I could run my company for a long period of time without waiting forever.

There's this menu where you can adjust the game speed. I'm not quite sure where it was, haven't played it a long time. Look it up in the game's help.

Even IF you speed up your game, it devours your system speed. <_<

I have a very serious problem with my game.

I turned on robo-worker for the game, hired many people, and then all of the sudden, everyone just goes to the breakroom after I have 11-12 machines, and they never return again. I tried to replace the staff, but the new staff is also sitting in the breakroom, doing nothing. The game just stops, nothing gets sold, no one gets paid. Why is this happening?

This bug has been reported before. No idea why it occurs.

A few questions...

1) When playing without Auto-paper work on, I always get memos from the white collar workers saying they are understaffed, but im only running two or three machines. Does this happen normally? Should I just ignore them? Surely one accountant, purchasing agent, marketeer, and salesperson can handle two machines? If not, how can some people be running the 12-13 machines they claim? As a corollary, could someone share what they find to be an effective white collar start-up team? Is the clerk that important? his description says that he handles all the miscellaneous paperwork...could this be the missing link?

2) whats the deal with the storage bins and conveyors? at first i went crazy and hooked every input and output i could with belts and bins, yet it seemed that some of the machines with only safety zones were more efficient. any opinions?

3) With the storage area...do you think its worth it to designate thier use; as finished goods vs. raw material? as soon as i found out you could change thier use i thought it would be more efficient to keep all my finished goods near the bay doors.

4) No one ever seems to use the forklifts i bought them... I've heard of the >83% thing, and it just strikes me as counter-intuitive. The hand carts they'll use, but the only lifts i see in motion are the ones that deliver matierals... and i dont think im playing at too fast a speed to see the animation.

5) what is the ideal number of jobs to give to machine operators? i think its 4 as long as they are in the same machine, but lately ive been beginning to wonder if a designated person in the operator position is a good idea, more operational time no?

btw, the people when they "disappear", they are stuck in the restroom/breakroom/conference room. It happens when you have too many employees. Fire as many as it takes to get them from becoming stuck. This bug really sucks, because it puts a real limit on how many machines and workers you can have.

if there's a next version, id like to see this removed, and the ability to own more than one company.

I am at a loss of how to get a starting profit on this game! First off, I am unable to run the tutorial. It uses Windows Help file, but that is non existent on Windows Vista, so that's out of the question (unless someone can paste a copy of it?). I have tried the suggestions on this forum (without exploiting bugs, or clicking autoworkers or the such) and have followed walkthroughs to get a realistic type game going, but am still unable to get a successful start on a business. The problem is that I'm not getting enough efficiency on the machines. I start with the best favorable market in the city, I pick plastic case, because it is also the cheapest in raw materials, It should be a good start, I hire two purchasing agents, one salesperson, an accountant, a machine mechanic and 4 machine operators and still the machine's efficiency doesn't go higher than an average efficiency of about 56 percent. Please, can anyone offer an explanation for why the machine is not efficient enough, is it just the machine employees that affect that, or could it be someone else?

Thank you for the guidance.

Look into the machine-menu. Sometimes the operators don't have trouble loading the machine but unloading the parts afterwards. You could put a conveyor belt and a storage cube behind it.
