Oh well. It wouldn't really make sense to have a sequel for a game like that anyway, would it?

Good point. There wouldn't really be anything excting happening. I need to play an RPG.

Well... you *can* continue the story, as the main hero still lives afterwards, but as anyone who has completed the game knows... it would be pretty boring to place the game in the "steel city" and if you take the other approach and taking the game to the Gap... it wouldn't have the feel of the first game.

Either way, it would be a completely different game, and thus it would've caught a different audience.

Do some research, the sequal is very much under development and is due out next year. Dave Gibbons has been hired to design the artwork again and reveloution have just purchased the domain steelsky2.com.

I have no doubt that they will make a stunning sequal, remember this is sci-fi and there is an unlimited number of directions a story can take.

Who knows maybe well learn a little more about Hobart city, or maybe union city will revert back to its old ways.

Why would it, though? I mean we're told that Ken will prevent just that from happening, right?

It'll probably be a 'in cold blood' / 'sleeping dragon' affair

They should be in the lab somewhere. Hanging on the wall, I think.

Yay. I'm glad I found this game (for free, legally and all!). IIRC I played a demo for ages ago and haven't wanted to finish it (though I don't think I actually finished the demo).

My only complaint is that it is a bit short, though all the good things about make up for that.

Also, and maybe this is just me, I had a few problems originally trying to run the game. I downloaded ScummVM and the files which are linked to on the review page. When it came to running it I was told I needed to download "SKY.CPT" from ScummVM.org, which I did. However, the game just closed after the intro (the first time, other times as soon as I tried to run it, so I needed to remove then put the folder back into ScummVM, with it crashing again after the intro, grrr). After that I went back to ScummVM.org and downloaded the files they had there on the download page (yes I know the BASS review also link to ScummVM.org). After that it worked a charm, with no problems and I even managed to complete it.

Anyone else have that problem?

Also, I always thought it was set in Britain. Judging by the accents, various references. And Australia isn't the only country to have animals which cast kangeroo shaped silhouettes.
