Whoa, hard to say.

For adventure..I'd easily go with the Quest Series..any of them.

Hm. Strategy, easily the X-Com/UFO games...man I love and still love those.

Wow, I can't even think right now.

For RPG's there have been many. FF7 (yeah I know its console) sticks out as one of the jaw dropping games for me..as did all the SNES FF's. Also Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 and the other games by Black Isle or bioware or whoever it was..such as Planescape etc..all amazing.

Hrm..thats all I can think of right now.

Why not. It doesn't require a "machine". Collect some information around.

You're right, yellow pissing pal :P
PII 200Mhz, 64 Mb RAM, 4MB truecolor compatible video card, 16x CD ROM, Windows compatible sound card, enough space on your hardisk for game installation and of course Direct X installed. Recommended hardware configuration: PII 400Mhz, 128 Mb RAM and 16 MB truecolor compatible video card.

Wow! Now I just have to get it, and have time to play it....

Adventures rock!

The games I have played the most, are UFO - Enemy Unknown and Dune 2. I used half of my childhood on those games. Great games k:

This is probably getting ahead of everyone else. But I spent most of last year playing Unreal Tournament 2003. I absolutly love that game, played it non-stop, night and day, but I lent the CD's to someone and I have no idea who.
I want to get 2004 but I havent gotten around to buying it yet, played it once in a internet cafe and it was even better than 2003.

But I grew up playing the Hugo's House of Horrors series, Sapce Quest series, Police Quest series, Monkey Island series, Quest for Glory series and so on. So they will always have a special place in my heart.

Talking about Quest for Glory, I've been wanting to play that game again for aaaaaages. I found a download somewhere, but it's a bunch of folders with the installation files and, for some reason, I can't get it installed at all! Even copying the files in each folder to a floppy disk. Anyone know where I can get a copy of the installed files for this great game? Or is it still not abandonware?
