I think it may seem easy to pick on the U.S because yes they get most of the coverage on them, but still get all the relevant info just because you hear something from the media isn't always the whole story or true story, you've really got to now a days go to multiple sources I've found before you can find something relevant and not completely biased.

With the situation here these past years of elections gone by it's been quite the interesting experience. The party in power now the Liberals have been in power since 1993, the one main reason for this has been because of voter support is concentrated in central Canada, the provinces of Ontario and Quebec having the largest populations get the most seats in our parliment and the last 3 elections we've had, those two provinces is what caused the Liberals to get in every time, where I live the liberals have no support at all in the west it's like that, so it's been an annoying process to deal with.

We have 3 main political parties, but still the chances of the liberal party getting kicked out these days is still pretty hard to deal with, thankfully thanks to the revealing that the Liberal Party was secretly spending tax dollars and wasting it as well in our sponsership scandal, there is now a chance for the other parties to finally possibily get a different government in power, but even just recently it seems that won't happen since I've seen people from Ontario are still willing to vote them back in :tai: Gah

My granny was a terrorist?

Seriously, the King David Hotel, being the British HQ was by all means a military target, the irgun even called the british to warn them that there are boms inside the building and that they have to evacuate the building.

No of course not. Your granny was a freedom fighter according to some. A terrorist to others. If the Americans were in charge in Palestina instead of the British, she would have been called 'an armed insurgent.'

Really, what's in a name?

And NOBODY HERE IS SAYING that Israel should cease to exist!

For some reason, people who think this is what I or other sensible people mean, must be deaf (or American).

ONE thing I DO HATE: people putting a radical negative spin on sound criticism.

Gun control is spun into BAN GUNS

Israel give the Palestinians their own country is spun into BAN ISRAEL

And don't give me that crap that Palestinians should make the first step etc. Critical Israelis (some of them former military) agree that Israel should make the first step. Persisting in playing the blame-game will not solve matters.

Seriously, to anyone who thinks that we didn't protest, in London, on one day, there were 3 MILLION PEOPLE protesting. That's about 1/20 people of the UK. (Apart from NI)

And that new constitution is excellent. I demand that it be passed.

I don't understand the continued critisicism of Israel either, I mean Israel is taking the first tep in getting out of Gaza, Sharon is doing this without support of the people and without the palestinian 'militants' obeying the ceasefire (just yesterday two soldiers were killed and one wounded when grenades were thrown at them, and two days ago terorists launched mortars into cities) so don't give me crap about Israel should take the first step, because it is taking the first step, only people seem to be too blind (or european) to see it.

If there was a referendum, we certainly wouldn't have gone to war. In fact, I think the Prime minister deliberately avoided one because of the strong public opposition. Tony Blair is clearly running to his own agenda, and not listening to what the British people want. We should never have gone to war.

And yet he (Blair) still won the elections.
All Brits are stupid warmongers.

Nobody ever said that all Americans are stupid warmongers, look back throught he thread and check if you like.
Anyway, there's more than the war to dislike Bush about, there's his policies on abortion, homosexual marriage and his quadrupling (possibly even more) of America's nation debt. Blair and Labour, though there is much to criticize them on, are good at the economics, and that's where it counts.

EDIT: Slight grammar error

And yet Bush won based on internal issues, too. And don't give me nonsense about rednecks since he also had a majority of the electoral votes in New York.
