So DOSbox dose not support 16 in more than 640*480!!!???* * :not_ok:
Is there any way to speed up the sound in VMD sound then?
|
I don't get the point of this question. Actually DosBox supports all the color you ever will need in Dos games. No need to change stuff in resolution or graphics.
When you start the game press Alt+F4 for fullscreen and there you go! :w00t:[/b][/quote]
Settlers 2 looks awfull in 256 colors. It supports up to 16bits. And I don't want to run it in 640*480
Besides, VMD sound is much smarter and easyer to use than dosbox.
It runns perfetly in VMD, but I would be VERY happy if I could speed up the music a bit, since it playes in slowmotion. Dose anyone now how to do?

well, i have tried running settlers 2 in 1024*768 in dos box and it works with all the colors.. what s the problem?
by the way i think you get me in previous post 16 colors not 16 bits. and i was mistaken, it was in true vga, not different vga that dosbox uses

The problem is that it runnes S2 in 256 colors, the game runnes slow, and is lagging (probly to low cpu speed (1,6ghz)). And it craches 50 % of the time and when I try to load the game.

The GHz can't be an issue since I play S2G on a 1,0 GHz machine and it runs fine.
Starting it under XP could be an alternative sometimes. But you have to change some stuff in the excuteable. You can find the manual to that in the Compability section.

Not even for DOSbox?
Don't work at all with the sound if I run it under XP.
(sorry for bumping again)
