My "geek" generation was simply the ability to decipher the standard (at the time) computer terms!
ASCII, RAM, ROM, PROM, EPROM, EEPROM, HTTP, Gate, JK-Flipflop, Tick, BIOS, DAC, ADC, Flash, Parity Bit, Modem, Bootstrap, Register, Sector, Track, DOS... If you slipped "byte" into a conversation you got beaten up  |
