But I don't know if trying to have a database of every city on Earth is feasible or recommendable. Users could type in their location manually, like in almost every other forum. That way we would also avoid orthography wars.

Serbia and Montenegro are ok, they just need to be separated.

If they do something, they will use an existing list/database. They can't spend their time typing geographical names.

Still it would be easy to keep a database of countries--which seems the only location filter avialable anyway--, towns are too much to keep track of, and still lots of people will live in a town that's not on the list, no matter how big we make it.
