LOL @ joke

Anyway I think they have double citizenship or something but with that logic Sebatiaonos would also get to vote here in Croatia.
Well I don't have a double citizenship, since I was born in Maribor and never actually lived in Croatia - but I could apply for it...
All I'd have to do is to bring a papers saying I lived at one of my cousins for 3 months and that's it (but I might get called in the croatian military for that). Did 'hercegovci' serve in croatian army (I mean all of them?). That could explain it.

About Haag - I think the main problem is, that people don't realise it's a court not an execution chaimber. So if a general goes there it means he's charged with crimes - but guilt hasn't been proven. So if what he did isn't a crime, he'd be set free!

About Europe - I don't understand where the number 15 comes into play? Do you mean that there are 15 countries that would like to see Croatia in Europe? Which countries do you mean? As far as I know most of Europe is still prepared to except new members, so I doubt the number is ONLY 15...

About elections - they went as expected, but in Croatia (just like curently in Slovenia) the position of the president isn't really that importaint (he has no real power in peace time). It's the prime minister who's more or less in command (along with the government coalition).

There are currently 25 countries in the EU.
But I think he was reffering to the 'original' 15 (only western Europe)

Boris Mikšić was a big surprise, I don't like him(he's just complaining all the time) , he was able to use this situation because all other candidates (with money) are already known and some people probably want to give him a chance.
About the Haag (or is it Hague in English?), as Stroggy said I was reffering to the original 15 , because the new members are much more suportive(except some khm teritorial disputes with Slovenia), the problem about the general (Gotovina) Sebatianos is that HE is the one who is escaping and our government is searching for him, and yeah the crime tribunal isn't an execution chamber , and one innocent man was there for 8 years(!!) , but that's another thing.

Tihomir Blaškić but that's really OT and the situation is complex (he was a victim of Tuđman's government find information somewhere on the net), Norac is on trial and I wonder where are those 200,000 people that protested a few years ago?HDZ is using roughly the same politics as SDP but the extreme right wing seems to be quiet.

Mesić is going to win in the end....as expected.
The second run of elections will only cause more expenses.

I know about Gotovina and I doubt Croatia will have problems with Slovenia's vote...
Yes, there are still some disputes about the border (the whole thing is rather silly and won't really mater anymore if both countries join the union - no more borthers - like in the old days ).
I'm just conserned about some strong right wing movements in Croatia. And I don't mean only the Kumrovec incident or people objectin to the Hague (if you really think we have to translate the name - who ever wrote that...), but I'm talking about simple everyday examples I felt myself...
There is a lot of - let's say - hints that Slovene's aren't really welcome... I guess it's got a lot to do with economy, because that's the feeling people get from most of the season workers who work in the tourist areas during the summer (but that's really a whole different issue).
