It's called "taking responsibility" russ, taking responsibility and respecting others enough not to want to see them harmed. Not "evil". I am surprised you haven't thought of that. Surprised, and disappointed.

Taking responsibility is a requirement for all drivers, whether or not we like to take it. If we don't want the responsibility, then we don't drive. It's that simple.

What he DID on purpose, was "not thinking", refusing to be responsible. I never said anything else. When your refusal to think of others lead to their deaths, then you ARE a dickhead. No excuses.

I have absolutely no doubt that person is absolutely devastated over this, and that it will haunt him for the rest of his life. I do not think he "deserves" that. I don't wish for him to be reminded of this but like I said: Nothing in life in one sided. Yes, he deserves our best wishes for returning to a normal-ish life. Yes, he does deserve peace around this. But that's just one side of it.
