I think Frodo will protest for not including LotR
 @Lulu: Technically it's AD&D But yeah Dark Sun is a Campaign setting for AD&D. Same goes for Ravenloft, Al-Quadim, Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk, Spelljammer, Dragonlance, Eberron, Dragonstar and whatever the big machine called WotC (i liked TSR better) spews out. But I'm going

In fact, D&D is not a universe, but a rule system. There are settings for D&D, as our friend hunvagy gently enumerated them. So... D&D shouldn't be there, but one of its settings

I have chosen Fallout, as I had most fun playing these. I was thinking about D&D, especially Planescape (Torment), but D&D as mentioned above have too many different realms and settings - too wide to make all of these my favourite.
Two days ago I've finished Vampirethe Masquerade:Redemption and World of Darkness should be IMO on this list. Not as the best, but surely as a noticeable option!

Of the list above, I have only played (A)D&D games, or as hunvagy pointed out, I have only played Al-Qadim, Dark Sun, Forgotten Realms, and Ravenloft. So I can only pick D&D from the list. As others mentioned, World of Darkness is a nice setting. But, in case anyone has not noticed yet... my fave would have to be Star Wars universe! :thumbs: (Although I only know the KotOR series)
