there's a reason why we think that sequels suck- if someone makes a movie that sucks, we ignore it pretty much and life goes on (and by the way it doesn't get a sequel of it's on too), but if a movie was good but it sequel sucked (just as much as the movie in the firsrt example) we'll get anoyed by that, because we saw the prequel.
Statisticaly there are probably as much (or even more) sucky origanal movies (non sequels) as there are sucky sequels! :whistle:

Sequel that was a big let down for me... the 11th hour the sequel to the 7th guest. Apparently it was a let down to alot of people since I think it was Trilobytes nail in the coffin.

and I think most of us gave up on Duke Nukem Forever...shame since 3 was so much fun

Most movie sequels suck, but game sequels are usually better.:

Doom 2
Half life 2
Unreal tournament 2004
Quake 2
Simon the Sorcerer 2 (btw does any one know where I can get Simon 3)
etc...

If you mean the 3D one, then don't bother, that one does follow the rule of sequels being crap.

there's a reason for that too. computers get more powerful by the day, while cinema has pretty much reached it's full potential.

I'd also say SimCity2000 is much better then the original SimCity, then there's Caesar II (does anybody even remember part one)...
