Interesting...
So, do i have to suppose that you have got an illegal copy? :bleh:

This could be a bad teaching for your baby... [/b][/quote]
No,
all of my computers have a legal copy of software on them. (including all of computers at work place)

MSDN Universal license covers 10 WinXP licenses that I use at work place.

hmm, another reason for people who don't have a legal version to step over to linux... Great job, Microsoft!

I got a legal version of home edition shipped with my new pc.

*Edit: And I see some problems coming for people who installed their windows on 2 or more pc's :/

i think that most of the people that switch from windows to linux, did it because they didn' t have a legal windows version - i' m sorry if i sound rude, there must be lots of people that did it for other reasons, but i belive this is the main cause.

i also belive that everything that happens, has it' s right time to happen - what i want to say is: right now is use windows, when the "right time" comes, i' ll switch to linux (or something else that might appear meanwhile )

I will switch to linux when ALL windows and dos games that play under XP, can also be played under linux. Also when large parts of the linux community stop acting like jerks and still talking about the superiority of the "command prompt" and talking down to anyone who prefers a GUI.
What I know is that I might keep a XP machine around and switch to game consoles with their next generation. I was never a games consoles person but at times it feels like all camps SUCK. (that is MS, Linux and Apple).

well, I do have a pirated version of Windows XP Pro SP2 (copied from Original Disc). And feeling usafe about this new thing, I have turned off my automatic updates. But still feeling insecure. Linux also has some graphical interface, MDaG has posted some links in the topic "Linux vs Windows" check out there.
Well if microsoft is out to catch me, then there are thousands of people around me before, infact there is a special market for Pirated CD's!!! . Softwares, games etc. are available at a cheap or say at a very very cheap price!
