For anyone having trouble opening the safe, the sleeping guard tells you the combination. I had trouble with this, and it seems like there's only one walkthrough written for this game, and that has the wrong combo. In case you don't want to go back to the guard, the combination is 3L, 5R, 4L, 8R, 1L, 8R.
(L = Push, R = Pull) If you tried other combinations, I think that you may have to reset the lock so that it's facing 12 o'clock. I pulled the lock around once or twice to reset it. I hope this helps! |

it's probably regenerated each time, that's why the combination in the walkthrough is wrong for you

I think that the combination is the same every time, it was just that the first number given in the walkthrough was one off.
