oh, it also indirectly made me hate bush/blair due to thier use of it as an excuse for war.
Did you know there isnt enough evidence linking 9/11 to the Taleban for a court case? Sure, they admitted it, but a host of other terrorist groups did too.

It was 9.11 yesterday. Many people know what happened in that day couple of years ago.

British mandate over the territory known as Palestine (State of Israel, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, a part of the Golan Heights, and the Kingdom of Jordan) officially begins on september 11 1920.

September 11 2001 was a terrible event, and it is a tragedy that to this day Jihadists continue to flourish and commit attacks across the world to this very day.

May heart goes out to all those who lost their lives on 9.11 and all those who lost their lives to terror before and after 9.11

I understand that it has brought sorrow to many people, but what Danny said is a fact. Many people have died in New Orleans lately and many people died for example in the tsunami accident a while ago, but still you don't tell the people at "Bush's latest vacation"-thread to be serious.

I don't think Danny was mocking anyone (but Bush) there nor did he try to offend or insult you (or anyone else for that matter).

How else would you expect it to affect a 10 year old kid that lives in another continent?

It's regrettable but there we are.

Also stroggy, you have to remember that it's not really the Jihadists at all, that'd be like saying that Catholics are to blame for all of the stuff with the IRA. You also have to remember that the Americans are now on an oil-fuelled crusade around the world and that it'd be hard to stop them.

The only way that it has affected me is that people have become a lot more anti-muslim and that I have to try harder to dissuade people from burning down mosques or whatever. Such is life though.

I guess you're personally involved... You should work on your feelings.
That was a tragic even - no doubt and many people died, but how did you feel when you heard about Srebrenica???
I'm asking because it was a tragic event that happened at the time you were about the same age Danny was when 9/11 happened.
Tell me, how did you back then feel about Srebrenica?
Did you even know about it?
Do you know about it now???
Did you care? (be honest)
Unfortunately that's the way things go - people who aren't directly involved usually don't even care - if they even bother to find out what happend - so unless media pumps it up - no body gives a rat's behind.
