I vote ALIEN, its just, awesome.I have ALIEN, ALIENS, ALIEN3, and ALIEN RESURRECTION. All awesome(aliens is alien 2). I got AvP, cuz I have predator and predator 2, lemme tell ya, AvP does NOT stick with the storyline.Predators are hunters, yes, but they are NOT friends with people. They will NOT befriend thier prey, humans are thier pray just like anything else. Predators DID NOT make Xenomorphs.If they did, and AvP WAS the actual story, then how would the Xenomorphs have gotten into space? Sure, the predator gets infested with an alien in the very end, but that would have an entirely different race of Xenomorphs.NOT the kind in the other films.Stuff like how they screwed AvP up gets me very angry :ranting: :ranting: :ranting: :ranting: :angry: :angry: :angry: :Titan: :Titan:

I voted Alien for the same reson as many above me: havent seen NOTD.
Now, about AvP. The hunters didn't *make* bugs ("xenomorph" is such a human word!), they simply used a great hunting species they found and spread it over a lot of different planets to hunt them later. they never contacted the locals to build them tempeles, in fact the locals were almost never sentinent. (Info taken from Comics.)
what I don't get is how could a race that needs humanoids for incubation and the ability to survive in vacum the rest of the time ever evolve anywhere. the fact they they incubate in ones lungs sort of suggests that there is a brethebale atmosphere, right? Plus the alines violate the "universal incompatbility" priniple, the one that states you couldn't eat species from other planets, and their bacteria, for exmple wouldn't affect you, because neither your stomach, nor the bacteria were evolutionaly designed for it. At least probably (like billion to one or something) not.

But I agree that Alien is more sci-fi and Night of the Living Dead is horror. But Alien was still scary!

Allthough NOTLD was quite a good movie, it simply didn't freak me out the way Alien did. So much more suspense, darkness and unexpected things, combined with superb visual effects: excellent! I loved the whole sober, clean, spacecraft atmosphere of it.
NOTLD featured zombies which is off course a great pro, but there was less suspense and more bickering between the people in the cabin. Also the characters where a bit bland and they didn't really develop in unexpected ways (apart from becoming brain-eating zombies that is ).
