U must be playing with CD ripped version with no voice (like I do hahaha). Change the game option to "text only", no voice, n there u go. It has nothing to do with CPU speed. Don't forget to patch ur game with all patches u can find. QfG4 is one buggy game.

PS: After trying to switch to text mode, i found out that I am! It is the only thing it lets me use, i can't even CHOOSE voice!

Is the speedy text problem gone? U can't have voice in cd-ripped version. This game size's about 15MB. The CD would be bigger.

PS SCI patch didn't work, but in options menu, i cant pick text OR audio..

PS: Ok, after tinkering in the install menus, I got text working at a readable speed, only problem is CONVERSATIONS, they are still too fast

Uncheck (disable) the "audio" option in in-game control panel. Black means disabled. Red means enabled.

The SCI patch will be useful for countering bugs mainly past halfway of the game.

I's it the dos version?If so the windows patch won't work.☻I can't get past the swamp. it's a timing problem.

I played DOS version under Dosbox with ripped speech. Patch seemed fine. Buggy areas like the swamp or endgame still needed more than once attempts though.

Switch to DOS version!
