I'd run a ms-dos or freedos with win311 and a linux an that system. Or ... no I wouldn't. I'd only install a linux or bsd on that system and use it as a server. For DOS-Games I've got DOSBox, which runs ... AMD Athlon 64 3200+ ... as fast as I need |

I am no pc fundi. I can turn it on, load, delete, work out probs on basic prog's and set up hardware, that's about it. My lcd shows running at 188. so that is not too bad huh? Thanks Guys!! Oh yeah, another i-net cafe has your site now |

![]() i had win95 installed on 386 with 8mb of RAM and grafic card with 512 kb ram, and it worked smoothly, i even managed to play diablo1 and some other games of that time that souldn`t work on 386, but they did
and abouth anctient computers, i still have working c64 and amiga 500 (with upgrade LOL), and my first PC was 286 sometime 1988. if i rember good (i was 9 then and got it with my pocket money LOL )

![]() It is nice to know that there are still folks out there sucha s I that operate in the dark ages, I wish I had found this site months ago. YOU LOT ARE AWSOME. Also, unlike other spots, you don't talk down to the techno-retarded like me. I dig it.
HAving probs with lemmings though, it ran okay fopr a while but now it cuts out on me, screen goes blank and there is no action? any ideas? :help: |

![]() First ever pc was a 486 dx 100 from 1995 with windows3.11 and ms-dos 6.22 but when windows95 came out and was stable i waited till 95b came out the 486 had windows95 gave it away when in 1998 got a 233 mhz pentinum
with windows95c still got that with upgrades though it is my only working pc using it right now other non working pc was a $5 from garage sale it worked then until motherboard broke last year. |
