The one that link is to is the Steam installer/HL2 demo file - if you've already got Steam you might as well just download it through there.

Actually Freelancer is incredibly good on its own. Any who say otherwise are either X2-junkies or fools.

Both X2 and Freelancer are very good games (I own them both). I have to say I prefer Freelancer, the flight/combat system is the best one I've ever seen in a space sim (fly and shoot with mouse, really well pulled off) and the way you can follow the enemy patrol paths into the asteroid fields and dust clouds to find secret bases, jump holes and shipwrecks.

Aye, that is fantastic in my opinion. That and the plot.
Although a lot of people are like 'Teh plto is hte awfunlezz' I quite like it. And you can always make a LAN server for 1 person, join it yourself and play the game plotless. You're missing out though. |
