My name is Per-Inge Sj?vik, and im 21 years old, From Norway (Northern Half).
I,m currently serving in the Norwegian Navy as a 12,7. mm Gunner with the Coastal Ranger Command. My education includes a basics in electronics, advanced seamanship, (is that right?) and I'm now a fully educated Body Able Seaman.

My hobbies include:
-Paintball (probably the worlds greatest sport)
-Warhammer (40K mostly) :Titan:
-Translating for Abandonia (An exelent way to make time fly)

I cant wait for this military service to be over and gone, woth only 2 weeks left i feel as if I'm going crazy. The last three years of my life has been like a bad dream. First I work for two years as a trainee seaman and then become a private in the navy... sheesh! But it'll all be over soon and I will be merrily on my way to the unemployment office to search for a lousy jub untill school begins next year...
*sigh* Life is hard...

Obviously you never met me :bleh:

André is my name. Portuguese male, 22 years old. Working in construction (which is like the best paying job around here) to pay for my university, which I stopped this year since I couldn't afford it anymore. I studied complex maths for 3 years, but I'm going back for either psychology or arts, still 9 months left to decide. I've been trying to translate this site to portuguese ever since I joined, but so far only got the main pages and 38 game reviews And now I work 12 hours everyday except sundays so it'll be even harder to get some reviews ready.
I live alone for personal reasons, apart from the usual friendly couch crashing, or any random girlfriend that I can't seem to be able to keep any longer than a couple weeks (being 9 weeks my all time record ), I'm hard to understand and all...

What else? I love rock and some kinds of metal (mostly progressive or/and melodic). Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Dream Theater, Nightwish and A Perfect Circle would be the first to come to my mind, but I listen to mostly anything in rock from Bon Jovi to Marylin Manson.

Hobbies involve reading ( Kafka, Camus & Co.), driving around (which is harder now with the oil costs and all), playing with the band everytime I can, writing & composing. I also have a weird taste for abandoned or quiet places, so you might find me alone one entire day in some calm graveyard or empty building, just staring to the walls. I value my friends the most, but it's very hard for anyone to be my friend. I value trust even more and don't give it to too many people. Results are that I can't say I have 80 or 100 friends, but I have 15 people that I would risk my life for, because I know they'd do the same for me. The rest of the people are just people I know, I don't care about them.

And since we're on the topic: I don't give a damn about gay rights, they're free to do whatever they want to In my little imaginary Utopia, gay people wouldn't exist, they'd just be people. Just the same as races, and most kinds of discrimination.

I'm atheist, I don't give a damn about religious people unless they try to convert me, or if they discriminate me for being like I am. And this is the only time you'll actually see me resort to violence to solve things. I take words as my main weapon, but some people can't comprehend those.

That's a lot of info. If you're still reading...... Keep on rocking in the free world k:

I'm Ruurd Roorda. I hate that name, so please call me whatever you want to call me, as long as it's not Ruurd :P

I live in the northern parts of the Netherlands, and I'm eighteen years of age. My hobbies include cycling, reading, listening to music, playing guitar badly and a few others that I always forget. I also used to write a bit (not like books, or anything).
I'm also a translator and minor reviewer on this site.

I'm doing exams Atheneum this year, and I'm planning on studying philosophy after that.

I'm agnostic by decission. Some people who know me call me as locked in my ideas as any other fanatic (:P), some others call me undecided and overtolerant. I myself like to see me somewhere inbetween that. I try to remain open.

My last words go to Paul McCartney:
'For now you know that it's a fool who plays it cool by making his world a little colder.'
Remember that one, people k:

Yuck. Existentialist pretention to the extreme :P

I seriously hate them both. Almost as much as I hate Hemingway for being a drunken sot with a limited understanding of the beauty of the comma.

If you want someone who has a full understanding of the beauty of the comma (not to mention semicolons), you ought to switch to Henry James, obviously.:P

Heh, had to choose between reading The Stranger, by Camus, and Lord Of The Flies. I'm still cursing for my choice. The Stranger's so bloody boring it tends to equal Madame Beauvary, Das Leiden Des Junges Werther, Jane Eyre and other "literature" junk. Still wish I spent my time on Lord Of The Flies instead.

Ah, come on, Jane Eyre is nowhere near as boring as Die Leiden des jungen Werther.

Well, nope, but it sure is boring whining as well. Almost as boring as Heidi in Tirol. "W??! I don't want to go to the city!" Then she stays. "W??! I don't want to stay here!" Then she goes to the city. "W??! I don't want to go to the city!" and that for an entire book. Instead of giving that spoiled brat some spanking on the behind and having her stand in the corner, noooo. Actually, Jane Eyre and Madame Beauvary're exactly the same: some whining, spoiled people that don't know what they want and should be put straight instead of felt pity for.

Oh, btw... did I mention that Camus's pretentions and empty? I think I forgot to mention that
