well i am not sure that ment anything special. i think it is a much better move when player taps the referee on his behind. makes you wonder about their relationship...

Podolski did it also when the referee gave red to the swedish player. I don't call it sportmanship.

In my theory most football players are at least partial gay. how else can you expect the joy they get in hugging eachother, patting on behinds, suffering from even the smallest foul and even holding eachothers nuts when they are in the wall. remember that picture that was circulating across the net?
i remember in highschool when this guy had to hug me eachtime i succesfully took the ball form him (i wa sin defence) and passed it on. i just had to ask him if there is something wrong with him and if he had feelings for men.

hehe funny. I was the only right-back defender that got fouled upon by strikers
I've been stepped on my toes, knees, upper leg, arm , fingers etc. At one time a striker planted his shoe on my back when I was standing up from a tackle. It made me quit soccer in the end. Strikers have to much pride in them..especially the lesser ones |

I don't care much about being the subject of fouls. But only when the ball is around. But getting tackled when you rush forward while the ball is on the other end of the field? nahhh...
