Judging by this sites quality I have feeling all demos will be clearly marked if it comes to that. k:

I don't want demos whatsoever in the site unless you create a whole new section for them. Then I would not see them in the main list and I would not care at all about even their existence.

Demos are not worth the time we are giving in this thread anyways, so even less putting them on the site IMHO. If I want a real game I'll go for the full game instead.

A whole new section?! Try a whole new site... no one wants this gift of a site discustingly smothered by the hundreds of lame demos out there...

demos are one step closer to a warez site

Blah, blah, blah...I didn't vote, and I wont, cuz I don't have any problems of putting demos to the site, but if others DO have, then the idea is withdrawn!

Too right. Only a section that would have links to new game demos that were interesting and innovative enough to discuss.

I have!

I think if it were confined to discussion in a category on the forum it would have very little effect on the site and it wouldn't spoil anyone's enjoyment of Abandonia!

Everyone has made good points against introducing demos, but I'd like to nervously raise a hand in their favour.* What if we just added demos of new games?* It'd be an easy way to discover what was available.* Sure, you could get the demos from the creator's website, IF you knew who the creator was and even if the game existed in the first place.* Alternatively, if bandwidth is a problem for downloading big demos, what about just having links to where the demos can be downloaded and a few words about the kind of game it is and when it was released.
I don't like the idea of demos, I don't like the idea of their own little section, and I don't like that idea either.

I'm getting the impression you don't like this idea, Iron Scarecrow :bleh:

I don't want to provoke WW3 over this. It's not that important. I'm happy to let the matter drop. It seems safe to say more people are against than for it anyway.
