Yeah I heard something on the radio, talking with a scientist even with all this we won't be able to clone a T-Rex anytime soon, since we don't know enough about DNA and such yet, so there's still a lot to go.

There's a reason that Jurassic Park wouldn't work, DNA decays over time, even during our lifetimes, that is why people die of old age, their DNA decays. It's also why Dolly the sheep died so young of old age.

actually, Dolly the sheep died so "young" because they cloned a middle aged sheep, so they GOT a middle aged sheep. And when a person dies, only a part of their DNA deteriorates (I remember reading about how there's this little strand on your DNA that breaks down each time it it duplicated, and once it is totally deteriorated, you are running on borrowed time before you die...something like that anyway.) And the DNA wouldn't be completely in tact, but it wouldn't be totally non-existant anyway. Remember that from Jurrassic Park? They admited it wouldn't be complete, so they "filled in the gaps" (Michael Crichton does his research very very well)

Edit: I just reread some of your post R Havell, and I misunderstood it the first time. I guess the only way it could be possible is if Scientists could find a way to replenish that portion of the DNA strand/string thing that controls how long you live.
