Use DosBox. You can fine-tune the cycle count to very low values, so that your game will work at the optimum playable speed.

Ahhh the mighty Supaplex. I still have the original of this game. I had the CD-ROM edition.

I only ever managed about 30 levels in though. Some of them are insanely difficult. I'll need to have another shot at it sometime.

Hello people, i've got a question.
I have installed DOSbox on my pc to run supaplex.
Now I have a problem.
Supaplex is unzipped and stored in the cdrive map of DOS, but when I open DOSbox, type "dir", then "cd supaplex" and then again "dir", you see the file's and dir's of supaplex.
Till here it's okay.
Then I'll have to go to the configuration program by typing "install", but it doesn't work.
I see "C:\supaplex>install
File not Found
->->->->->->->"
What do I have to do more to let the game work.
I have spent more than 3 hours trying, but it still doesn't work.
thanx already

Sounds like the "install" file you're trying to run is not an executable.
Try
dir *.exe
dir *.com
dir *.bat
and run only the files returned by these commands.

:brain: Yay! I've been looking for this game for years, it was on the first comp I ever owned, my mom got it from a person she knew for either $100 or $30, don't remember, and I made it to 90 something levels... then couldn't use that comp any more. Ever since I haven't been able to remember what its called, then I find it here by pictures! *dances*

......Its been so many years, though.... Over ten.... I'll have to rework out most of the levels..... eek.
