Well my nan should be able to use a Linux system without to much problem, but she likes to play games LOL, so thats why I installed Windows 98.

Also i wanted it done quick so i could get back and play Half-life I don't like the waiting 2 hours for ubuntu to install.

A point to consider.

I actually have Linux. I've not installed it. I tried a couple of years ago, found it too difficult.

Linux is much better now than it was a few years ago, try a good distribution like ubuntu www.ubuntulinux.com.

Isn't the default installed browser for Linux Firefox?

My Ubuntu installs usually take about 30 mins... faster then Win98 :P

it depends on the Desktop and distribution, most of the time firefox is the default, but I like lynx more :P

lynx is also for Windows

I have to wait over two hours for a full install of ubuntu.

That's nothing. My gentoo installation took the best part of 2 days!

I dig you. I once did a complete Gentoo from stage 1 on a Cel 400 laptop. It took over two days to compile the bootstrap alone... I must admit I optimized the compiling to the max... but still :P

Linux proggrammer in many ways can be better cause they arent payed. In other words they have no reason to rush software.

And breezy badger is coming out in october I have already pre ordered some cds
