With the synergies and items it will reach already around 600-700 absorb, and that's all you ever need for hell. It survives enough hits, and can be recast quickly if needed. I would say restart and instead invest all the points into the synergies for Bone Spear / Spirit. Every point is a nice addition.

Thanks for the pointer. At least this char wasn't a pure waste of time. I got a nice starter wand and found out two set items, one of which is the ruler of Cathan and my brother was looking for this stuff last time I heard about him.

One thing u should get straight is that sets (I mean ALL when I say all) SUCK. You can hear: oh noes, don't litsen 2 trooop, he'z juts talkin trashzor! , but the fact is that you have to listen to me. I've gone through all sets looking for a nice one and only 2 are any good. The Tal Rasha and Trangs. If you ever find a Sigon's anything - drop it and leave to rust or crummble to dust - TRASH.
I've been using only 1 set for starters and it also worked flawlessly in normal difficulty - Death's Disguise.
Since normal is easy compared to hell - that's all the equip you'll ever need.
BTW, the bonearmor isn't a bad idea, since my lvl83 Necro only has it with 200points max damage absorb. You won't be dead with that kind of extra protection from 1-hit-1-kill.

BTW, Scatty - lvl40 Bone Spear has a max of 2.4K so I don't even imagine how you can achieve 5K anywhere. The skill CAN'T go that high. Anywayz, I need proof.

BTW, I pretty much own hell till act5 quest3, cause if I'm careful enough - I can't die.
It's nice to have a torch.

QUESTION:

My Soj is good for mana and the +1 to skills, but... but... it lacks all the REALLY essential stuff I'd need.
Attributes, Resists (I have low and crappy still) + it adds a nice 5-10% exp. So... Is it worth it to trade my Soj (about 3HRS) for an Anni, with say... 15/15/8 Anni? I'd maybe later change it to a soj when done or smth.

My Bone Spear with all items and the shout from Call to Arms is level 52. Besides, I skilled all synergies except Bone Prison to their maximum, and Bone Prison itself is also already level 10 (37 with items, but only placed points count as synergy bonus). The damage of Bone Spear is currently 5310-5569. If you want a proof, you need a Hell-Able full skilled + equipped Necromancer like you have, but on Europe gateway, and you don't have one. The damage though is like mentioned above, you can believe me, I kill most monsters in Act 5 hell at the Throne with 2 hits in a single char game, only these frenzy lords need 3 hits to die.

Of course it's always better to have an Annihilus than Soj, but I doubt someone would trade a good Annihilus for your Soj. Unless you catch one of those fools whom you got the good items above from

Actually, I play singleplayer and I have access to my neighbor computer... Meaning that as soon as my inventory is full of "trash" (especially set items), I just load a TCP/IP game and dump all the set items to my mules and stuff.

I almost gathered the Cathan set all by myself... Got several other sets too, I am also trying to complete the Tal Rasha set. And no cheating, only playing Singleplayer.

I don't think an Ik barb would have good chance against a nec with Enigma and around 10-15 revives. All the nec needs is to tele to a spot and his revives will be on the same spot as him, unable to move. Almost all attacks will hit then the revives but not him. In the meantime the attacker is covered with unfriendly fire. Of course, one needs to have an Enigma first
