Here is my little list. As the rest of you guys I'll be leaving a lot of movies out that I really want to put on, but what the hell.

Must See:

Fearless Vampire Killers
The Thing
Das Boot
Where Eagles Dare
Blade Runner

Movies I like:

Once Upon a Time in the West
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
City of the Lost Children
The Name of the Rose
Dawn of the Dead (original)

Movies I loathe:

Battlefield Earth (I dub thee worst "movie" ever)
The Postman
ET
Tomb Raider (both of them)
The Patriot (the Mel Gibson one, although the Steven Seagal one is pretty bad too)

It sure is. Like you I'm not a big fan of Spielburg, although I do realise he has made some good movies (I will always be a fan of Indiana Jones). But hey, if you make a million movies, statistically some of them have to be good.

I can live with Indy, and I let him get away with producing back to the future but only because Zemeckis is so much more talented he carries it along.

Alright, so if we take Indy and Back to the future and throw in Gremlins and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, we pretty much have everything worthwhile Spielburg ever directed. In my opinion, anyway.

Sorry, I was looking at his feats as a producer on IMDB. It seems he didn't direct Gremlins and Roger Rabbit either. He did, however, direct a very cool movie called Duel, in his early days. So, Indy and Duel, and that's it.

Yeah, he is indeed way overrated. I can't believe his name alone can sell a movie.

Jurassic Park was okay. I really like Sam Neill, so that made it tolerable for me. Unfortunately the combined efforts of Steven Spielburg and Jeff Goldblum marred it badly.

you can't be entirely anti-Goldblum, however bad he was in JP - The Fly is quality!
