I got to the end and blew Scotia away, but the finale never comes up, the game just goes into a black screen. Has anyone else had this happen?Hours of game play and all for naught?? Bit of help, please!

Great game, just downloaded it a few days ago. After setting it up in dosbox i realise i played it when new. heh

my problem now is i'm in Draracle's Cave and i didn't find the jewelled dagger or silver cup before i found the Draracle. So since there was a cave in i'm guessing i can't back track to the second level? so what are my options? do i lose a few hours? in fact i've only used a couple save slots so far so it may be quite a few hours. i tried using a couple trainers for walking through walls.. Lands of Lore Trainer VE1.22 by Network (David Jury) couldn't hook the keyboard input.. could that be a doxbos conflict? the other trainers i've found were for other versions of the game.. i've got version 1.05 of the game.

Anything i can do? I really dont want to start the game all over again.

I'm quite sure you don't have to start again, the first time I reached the Draracle I didn't have any of those items, but I remember not needing to go back to the second level to aquire them. Search a bit more in the levels you can access and I'm sure you'll find one of them.

I remember you need to put one of the "common" daggers that you should have found underway, in one of the nishes that opens after you press 2 or 3 buttons nearby. The nishe closes, though after pressing the buttons again it opens again, but the dagger is gone. You can either find the jeweled dagger or the silver chalice, but not both.
Just walk along all the walls again and watch for not noticed before buttons etc. There should be a chest somewhere with the jeweled dagger in it, if I remember correctly. Don't know anymore where you can find the chalice, though.

back again. still trapped on levels 3 and 4. i think may have left something behind or not explored thuroughly. the only dagger i was able to transform became a "back biter" and it appeared in the same niche it was placed in at the end of a long hall. I dont have a pick axe on me or in an area i now seem to be able to access. I alsoi have an iron key left over. and some other items i wonder about but nothing the Dracacle will accept.

Mmmm, I may be wrong here, as I played the game a long time ago but, maybe you have to place two or three daggers with special names in the "Dagger in, dagger out" hole in order to get the jeweled one. Damn! I'm gonna play the game again to see it by myself, curiosity is too strong.

Right, that must be it! The pick axe. You need to return back to a level of entry, to the place where there are the pitholes and three buttons to deactivate them. Fall into one of the holes (save before!), fight the nasty lizard, resque the girl from the cocoons and there also should be the hammer somewhere. With it you can smash walls that have a damaged texture on it. That's how you can escape this small level, and that's how you can proceed to the Draracle, also.

I'm quite sure you couldn't access level 3 and 4 without smashing some walls, so now I don't know what's going on (if you haven't got the pick axe, you shouldn't e able to reach the area where you can transform daggers).

Finally got it! You have to use dagger Stilleto and Razor in the "Dagger in, dagger out" hole. After that, you can pick the lock that appears in that same place after switching the button to the right. The wall will dissapear and you'll face a chest that I had to smash (maybe with a high level rogue you can lockpick it, I'm not sure). Inside there is the Jeweled dagger. I have to say that the silver cup way is much easier, but gives less experience.
