Hm, I could be mistaken. Darn translators!

Chicory is a root or something, totally white, with a hint of green at the edges. It has layers like an onion, but is is much longer. As I said, the overriding taste sensation is bitter. Very very bitter. In fact, it's so bitter I challenge anyone here to actually like it.

I've tried coke from around the world, not all countries but many, and the Icelandic and German is the best.

And I'm not joking, even though it's the same formula, the water used in it tastes differently. Faeroese coke is the worst I've tried.

You are entirely correct, Puffin.

The Coca Cola Company only ships the syrup to other countries outside the US. Those countries then mix the syrup with their own water. You should try Dutch Coca Cola, I think it's the best!

This is also the reason why coke tastes differently at any fast food joint because those joints also mix it themselves. They buy the syrup directly from the US, not from the local 'mixing company' in their country. I think the coke from fast food joints tastes more watery.

I used to work at a fast food restaurant (subway), we got the "post-mix" syrup from the coke company in iceland. So does every other restaurant, they're not allowed to make the mix themselves.

Alas, so did I. Working at a Mc D's that is... What I meant was, they do mix the syrup with water. At least, that's what they did at the Mc D's I was working at... Ten years ago.

Carbonated Tea?!?!?!? WTF!!!!!!!! That is the grossest lamest thing I ever heard of . Must be some new Yuppie trend or something . It's the same equivalent of those who would go out and pay 3 bucks for a regular cup of Starbucks coffee (which is gross!!) , whereas they can have the same coffee which would prob taste better for a buck , it just doesn't fly . Essentially All Tea is Evil to me !! It's coffee all the way for me . And speaking of Pop , Coke Classic is good , Vanilla Coke is the best for me , the Cherry Coke is tolerable , diet coke is all right , that new C2 or whatever they call it is the nastiest stuff i ever tasted next to Caffiene-free DIET coke , the lemon coke is okay , the lime coke tastes like someone created a coke/ 7up backwash product. Pepsi , Good but too much sugar. Diet Pepsi is okay but gives you horrible gas , that Vanilla Pepsi was brutal , the Holiday pepsi was all right , Pepsi Blue was a heartburn fest . anyone remember Pepsi Clear , that was prob the worst pepsi product around.

Unfortunately, the italics are equally irritating.

On the Coke thing, I stopped drinking pop a couple of years ago - it's disgustingly sugary and unhealthy really. I might occasionally drink some as a mixer but that'd be about it.

LOL by carbonated tea I mean the stuff you get at fast food places from the soda fountain...Lipton tea. Its God awful stuff. I don't like most of the soda fountains though.
