Well, I have to say for myself, that I want the guys to take the first step..... Which actually made things a bit difficult for me and my boyfriend, because he wanted me to take the first step.... so getting together took a loooooong time....
But I have to say, that I find it nice when boys take the lead and ask.... Shows courage.... B)

The girl I want is also my friend so if I tell it to her and she turns me down our friendship will be ruined. Even if she doesn't when we break up the same thing will happen

All I can say that I know people who have bad and good experience of dating friends... And I really hope everything works out for you k:

I once started to date my (back then) best (girl)friend. I thought at the beginning that it might not be a good idea because you can loose the friendship etc. But just do what you think is best. Besides, if the relationship ends and you loose the friendship it doesn't feel that bad as you thought at the beginning.

We still speak occasionally btw.

But having a friendship where one of the 2 feels more it isn't that healthy either.
