if we forget for a second that the Masons were invented by conspiracy theorsits to expalin why they sitll aren't presidents (or have a shiny new car every year), the key to power is money, lots of it (collected as a memebers fee, or something).

well the POWER = MONEY formula has been around for so long I believe it became folk wisdom.
and the structure was disscused with my friends back when I was in school. we decided that if they were real this would be efficient, yet would allow to cut of cells should their secrecy be compromised.
In reality quite few is known about the massons, and most of what is known comes from hearsay, and can is pretty hard to separate from folklore.
