Hello all,

I think I know why there was no man at the lighthouse. I just forgot to take the note from the church bell. This could be a reason...

I tried the alarm clock</span>, and it doesn't work.

Am I using the wrong object, or do I need to solve another puzzle first?

Thanks Frodo

Are you using Windows? If so, use the arrow keys and Enter to move Igor.

The game works in DosBox best.

"Igor - Objective Uikokahonia". Never heard of this game before so I gave it a try. And I must admit that I enjoyed playing it even though it had some annoyances and was rather short. Here's my mini review:

Negative: :ranting:
  • why let the player search for one-pixel items (--> The Nail)?
Other Games avoid tiny items or use highlighting effects. This was the first occasion on which I had to look up the solution. :not_ok:
  • why are there so many misleading hints or dead end trails (--> cookoo clock)?
Things didn't combine like I thought they would do. So I ended up just blindly trying out everything.
  • why leave so many useless characters, items and places (--> concert tickets, alarm clock, wallet,... also "quivering Johnny" or "Videogame-Lucas")?
The locations and story would easily support the double density of puzzles and dialogs. How long have you tried to distract Lucas from his videogame (finally giving up and realizing that this isn't possible)?
  • some annoying Bugs:
"Use lizard with hamburger" --> "that doesn't make sense", but:
"Use hamburger with lizard" --> works!
(another case for "Sherlock Solution"... )
Neutral: :bleh:
  • the church maze is more that a bit overdone, but still interesting.
I took it as a challenging puzzle. Drawing my own map from the beginning, it was no real hassle anymore.
  • the story feels a bit "thin" and patched together.
Personally, I was a little disappointed about the subplot regarding the "Weasel" which turned out to be a rather trivial than spectacular episode. After all there is less content than in the first chapter of Monkey Island 1.
Positive: :Brain:
  • good and partly fantastic music which supports the atmosphere (--> church)
  • nice and well drawn graphics.
There is not much to complain about.
  • good portion of humour
After being stuck the first time, then a second and a third time, I consulted more often and with even less hesitation the provided solution. That is why most of those illogical puzzles or dead ends did not bother me anymore. But it is a pity how much potential has been wasted. Didn't they have any good gamedesigners or playtesters in their development team at Pendulo Studios?

Like this it's only an average game. Very short but still fun to play if don't insist on playing it without any glance at the solution.

So yes! I would give it a 3 of 5 rating, too.

----------------------------
Addendum:

Thinking about the church maze:
Obviously It was quite popular at that time to feature a maze in an adventure game. Other games/mazes that I remember:

Indiana Jones 3
- catacombs beneath Venice
- castle Brunwald
- the Zeppelin
Monkey Island 1
- jungle labyrinth (one of the trials, find the sword master)
- entering the giant monkey (pathway to LeChucks pirate ship)
Monkey Island 2
- sewer labyrinth (final location, defeating LeChuck once more)
Zak McKracken
- jungle labyrinths in Lima/Kinshasa
- temple maze in Mexico (find another crystal shard)
- the Great Pyramid on Mars
Space Quest 3:
- emptying trash bins as a janitor in an office labyrinth (on Pestulon?)
Kings Quest 5:
- finding the bandit's camp in the middle of the desert

(I guess there are many more examples...)

"Go Right. Up. right. Right. Up. Left. Left. Up. Up. Right. Right. Right. Down
(there’s a way down, there’s isnt a door but there’s a way down).Down. Down.
Down. Right. Right. Up. Up. Up. Right. Down. Down. Down. Right. Right.
Right. Right. Right. Up. Up. Up. Up. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Down.
Down. Down. Down. Right. Right. Up. Up. Up. Up. Right. Right. Down. Down.
Down. Down. Down. You’ll see the skeleton (to exit the labirynth go Left)"

dont do this reversed on the way back to the church. just enjoy comfort: press "esc".

to save hit "space" if not previously mentioned.

Okay I have a problem I typed in the Roman Numerals just like I'm supposed to: I, III, VI, II, II. But still nothing happens!

Notice how there are 2 Roman Numeral IIs. Try changing which II you click on first.
