Here a link for you all:
http://www.abandonline.com/gameinfo.php?id=111

It's the Serf City edition. It's the exact same game though. However, this one comes with a very good sound card detect/installer. You won't even need DOSBox to run this one on XP.

Enjoy

Sorry, but I don't think you're supposed to post links to other abandonware sites. And does that site have ESA-permission to host Police Quest 2 and 3??

Why?
If this site has permission to host Settlers I the other site has permission aswell doesn't it?
As for Police Quest I have no clue. I only linked to that site for Settlers.
Anyway, was just trying to help..

Linking to other abandonware sites is allowed provided they are distributing "real" abandonware and not warez. And it's on topic and not a blatent advertisment.

All right, fair enough, then. I didn't mean to say that site was a warez-site (I don't think it is), but it does have downloads for several games which we had to remove because they're ESA-protected. But if that's OK, well, fine. So much the better. Sorry about the confusion, RAM.

God I love this game. One of my favourites from when I was younger. Got a problem though, just wondering if anyone's found the same thing and knows what to do about it.

I've just run out of wood. My lumberjack has no more trees in his area, so he can't cut any more. I don't have anyone planting them, so I need to build either a forester or another lumberjack in a wooded area. Unfortunately, I can't build either of them, despite having a stockpile of 59 sawed wood units in my castle. Any ideas why they're not being brought out to build with?

In the options menu, I have changed the settings so that any wood that is available goes to building (as opposed to shipping or tool making). I have no congestion on my roads (the lack of wood has ultimately stopped production of everything as my mines have run out). I haven't any other warehouses/gaps in roads.

I'm also noticing that my surplus of coal (168 units) isn't going out to the foundrys. Anyone know why my castle's stockpile isn't being redistributed?

Hey all, love the game.

I've tried playing in DOSBOX to get the sounds, but they are quite choppy and seem quite slow.

Seeings I'm a noob to dosbox, I presume it's something to do with that that I can't figure out... Anyone care to enlighten me?

Thanks

I really really enjoyed playing this back in the day on my Amiga. It was quality! I've never played any of the sequels

There was a game called 'Foundation' that was released on Amiga CD in about 2000 that was very similar to Settlers.

Can anybody help me!!!

I know this games has a key/key combo that allows you to see the 'lie-of-the-land', i.e. puts the little yellow things all over the map so you can see where you can build what - buti can't get it to work, I've tried all my keys!! Does anybody know what it is?

Please help, it's driving me crazy!

Thanks
Mark
