werden is the future form of sein and also become. there was this thing a german said in a restaurant: "waiter! could i become a beafsteak?" "i hope you will!" because the german word bekommen means to get sth. anyway, i think in frankfurt, you will be fine just speaking english, because that is the first language for almost every german to learn, and btw some germans have funny accents. btw, when is your trip? |
