![]() I've been looking for the game Death Gate for ages, since I played it when I was a young'un, so I was glad to see it on the site.
I can't seem to get it to work in DOSbox, however. I'm running on WinXP, and I think my problem is that for some reason, DOSbox is set to Z:\ instead of C:\....however, I have no idea how to change this. I'm not particularly good with DOS programs, and any help would be much appreciated. |

![]() It's a very common problem, and you wouldn't have it if you have read the DosBox readme file prior to running it.
I suggest you check the official FAQ on the DosBox site. Basic Setup and Installation article covers much of what you will need to know, and here is a specific explanation of your problem. A list of text-prompt commands will also be handy, and do not forget to familiarize yourself with Internal Programs. I know it might sound a bit of complicated at first, but trust me that once you learn how to operate DosBox you'll be laughing at how once you thought it diffcult. Frontend programs can help with the whole thing, but it is known that they might just as well cause extra trouble with certain games. |
