I managed to destroy the statues at last. The reverse order means that you have to start with the statue that is farthest to the right in your inventory and work your way to the right, at least that worked for me.
To find the Demoncrusher you have to use the See Reality spell, you'll probably have to go deeper in the dundgeon to find the runes required

ok for the reverse order, but how to use the demon crusher? I try to use it, but "no use for this" is the response.
