When I think of smoking I immediately think of a lady that was touring the schools around my area. She had so much energy, I never saw her in person, just on our local broadcasting network. She showed pictures of herself before the kemo-therapy and she was drop dead gorgeous. beautiful eyes full of life, a smile that would light up any room. Also some of the pictures had her with her daughter, they looked very happy.
While watching her lecture to all the high schooler's, with her skeletol apperance and pale white skin, wereing a hat to cover her bald head all I could see from her was desparation.
I remember her looking at one of the girls in the audiance, and saying she didn't know how much time she had left and that she could very well drop dead right there. The girl went right into tears, and the lady went over to her and looked her right in the eyes and made her promise to never start smoking. They hugged after that. The doctors were blown away that she could even function properly, they suspected the high amounts of radiation had killed the pain receptors in her brain and that was the only thing keeping her out of bed. She died last year, God knows how many lives she saved. We all think it won't happen to us. Our health is so vitally important, and we don't realize it till it is gone. Don't waste you life away on a useless craving that can be controlled.
Her name was Barb Tarbox. I suggest you look her up on the internet and read her message any people who are trying to quit.
Good luck in your quest for freedom.
